Therapy for Children and teens

Support for Navigating ALL Stages of Development

Support the child behind the struggles

Kids and teens don’t always have the words—but their behavior tells a story. Therapy creates a safe space to explore, express, and begin healing—on their terms.

When your child is hurting, it can feel like your whole world is off balance. Maybe you’ve noticed sudden outbursts, shutdowns, or anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere. Maybe they’re withdrawing, pushing people away, or struggling in school. And maybe you’ve tried everything you know—but nothing seems to be working.

You’re not alone. And neither are they.

Children and teens often carry more than we realize. Whether it's big "T" trauma—like loss, divorce, bullying, or abuse—or the quieter, chronic stress of feeling misunderstood, unsafe, or unseen, young people hold these experiences in their bodies and behaviors. And when they don’t yet have the words to explain what's going on inside, they speak through emotions, actions, and symptoms.

Therapy gives them a different kind of space—one where they don’t have to perform, shut down, or figure it all out on their own. A space where their inner world is taken seriously, and where their pain is met with curiosity, not correction.

Our approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and grounded in the belief that all behavior is communication. We work with kids and teens in a way that feels safe, collaborative, and attuned to their unique pace and personality. For younger children, that might look like play therapy—where toys become their language. For teens, it might mean creating space to talk openly, explore identity, or process difficult emotions without judgment or pressure.

Together, we work on:

  • Understanding the why behind the behavior
  • Strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Healing from trauma, anxiety, grief, or big life transitions
  • Rebuilding trust and connection with caregivers
  • Supporting self-esteem, confidence, and resilience

This isn’t about "fixing" your child. It’s about helping them feel safe enough to be themselves, speak their truth, and grow into who they’re becoming.

And it’s about walking alongside you, too—because you shouldn’t have to do this alone.

If you’re noticing your child struggling—or just sensing that something’s off—therapy can be a place to start listening to what’s underneath, with care and compassion.
